You can use Facebook on a mobile browser if you don't have either the Android or iOS app installed on your device.
Select the down arrow next to Friend Requests.
When you want to retract a sent request, select Cancel and the request will be removed from the recipient's view.
You can also use a search term like "m.facebook.com friend requests" on any browser to directly arrive at the screen after you log in.
You can also view and cancel friend requests on a desktop browser.
Select Friend Requests.
Select View sent requests.
Select Cancel Request if you don't want the request to go to the recipient.
The steps to see all pending sent friend requests are nearly identical on the Facebook mobile app for iOS and Android. The steps below are illustrated on an iPhone, but we've noted the differences for the Android app.
Tap See All.
Select Cancel to terminate the request.
Why can't I friend request someone on Facebook?Some users may have their privacy settings set to not allow friend requests from anyone but friends of people they're already connected to. If this it the case, you'll either not see a button to send a friend request to them, or you won't be able to click it. They'll have to send you a friend request to connect.
